The PRAXIS II Physics: Content Essays Exam (0262) is taken by candidates interested in teaching middle and secondary school physics. The exam is composed of three essays. Candidates have one hour to complete the exam.
Exam (0262) questions cover society, technology and science; waves and fields; and energy and matter.
All three questions are weighted equally. Successful candidates will review the contributions of the field of physics to technology and society, how social expectations can encourage or limit specific technical or scientific advances, competency with understanding and fundamental scientific concepts.
Two exam questions cover matter and energy, thermodynamics, fields, waves and optics, magnetism, energy conservation, electricity, and physical laws.
